Who doesn't love a good sugar cookie? And how about a sugar cookie covered in pink icing in the shape of an adorable heart?!
These were not only super easy to make - but super fun as well.
Here's What You Need:
Sugar Cookie Dough (I cheated and used a mix - but you can make them from scratch!)
Heart shaped cookie cutter
Icing (I used this recipe)
Icing piping bags
Food colouring
Once the cookies were baked and cooled I made the icing! I first started with a light pink icing and then later made the remaining icing a darker pink so I could have two tones.
Icing Tips:
First, outline your cookie. This creates a border for the rest of the icing and keeps it in the lines. Then squirt icing all over the cookie.
Then WET your little icing knife. This will make the icing nice and smooth and won't stick to your knife!
Get creative and have fun!
You can make two colours of icing and layer them!
